How inspections work
Call 479-373-6466, extension 1. The city states inspections are required to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, with AM or PM slots, and that final inspections are not performed on Fridays. Permit and inspection status can also be checked online, which the city says requires a contractor code.
What the office says about permits
The city describes its permit page as a virtual one stop shop and says permits can be completed online with a legally binding electronic signature or printed and brought to the appropriate City division. Permit types listed include accessory, residential, commercial, multi-family, miscellaneous residential, electric, grading, grease interceptor, mechanical, plumbing, road bore and street cut. The Building Inspection Division inspects all new construction activities including single family structures, remodels, additions and commercial and industrial construction, with footing, foundation, framing, plumbing, mechanical and fire safety inspections. No published list of work that does not require a permit could be retrieved, and no fee amounts could be read off a city fee schedule.
Work that may not need a permit

Can a homeowner pull their own permit?
