What the office says about permits
Permits are obtained at City Hall for building, plumbing, mechanical, fences, accessory structures, pools, signs, and demolition. Applications may also be submitted through the city's iWorq online portal. No fee schedule is posted online; for planning and zoning questions call 479-787-5757 ext. 3.
Work that may not need a permit
This jurisdiction does not publish a list of exempt work. Do not assume a small job is exempt; one phone call settles it.
Contractor registration
A city business license is required. Licenses are obtained every January, are valid for one calendar year, and must be prominently displayed at the place of business.
Can a homeowner pull their own permit?
The jurisdiction does not publish an owner-builder policy. Many Arkansas cities allow it for an owner-occupied home and some do not. Ask directly.
