ABOUT & CORRECTIONS

Who publishes this, and how a fact earns its way on

The NWA Trade Guide is a Northwest Arkansas reference built from primary sources and corrected in the open when something is wrong.

Who publishes this

The NWA Trade Guide is an independent Northwest Arkansas publication covering home maintenance, repairs, permits, and the local trades for Benton and Washington counties. It is a sole proprietorship: one publisher, no parent company, no investors, and no advertising program yet.

How a fact gets on this page

Every listing and figure on this site is checked against a primary source before it runs: first the event organizer, supplier, manufacturer, government agency, school, association or business itself; then established Northwest Arkansas news outlets; then public records and official reports; secondary sources only when nothing primary is available. For anything time sensitive, we try to capture the exact name, date, time, location, intended audience, cost, registration deadline, source link, organizer, and any restriction that applies, plus the date we checked it. An item that we can no longer confirm is still accurate gets pulled, not left up on the assumption that it probably still holds.

What does not make it onto the page

We do not invent events, quotes, attendance figures, prices, dates, contractor credentials, licensing status, reviews, market trends, code requirements, product claims, or local statistics. When a source does not publish a detail, most pages on this site say so directly, in plain language, rather than leaving a confident looking blank where a guess would normally go. Estimates and interpretations are labeled as such.

How the events calendar renders

The events calendar renders its full list of events directly into the page, so a reader with JavaScript turned off, or a tool that does not run JavaScript, still sees every event name, date, location and cost. The month grid and the search and filter controls are assembled in your browser on top of that list. This page used to say the calendar body could look empty to anything that did not run its JavaScript. That was true, it was fixed on August 14, 2026, and the note stays here rather than quietly disappearing.

Editorial independence and disclosure

The NWA Trade Guide is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any contractor, supplier, or service business listed on this site, including businesses that employ its publisher.

Disclosure: the publisher of The NWA Trade Guide is employed by R&D Property Solutions, Ambassador Home Maintenance, and Comfort Control. None of those three businesses owns, funds, or directs this publication.

Those employers get no different treatment than any other business on this site. They appear in the contractor directory only because Arkansas's own contractor license roster lists them, the same reason every other licensed business appears here, and that inclusion is not an endorsement. This publication will not feature, rank, recommend, quote, or profile those three businesses in an article, guide, or editorial without a disclosure attached to it, and holds to the same rule against unfavorable coverage of their competitors.

What a listing here does, and does not, mean

A listing in a directory on this site means a license, address, or program exists on the record we checked, and nothing more. It is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a background check, and no business has paid for placement or ranking anywhere on this site. Always verify a license number and insurance yourself before hiring, and confirm hours, fees, or availability by phone before you rely on them; official pages change without announcing it.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or missing, we want to hear about it. Email support@nwatrades.com with the page and what needs to change. This site is rebuilt directly from its own source data rather than edited by hand, so a confirmed correction typically reaches the live page the same day.
